These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Elevate20 LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, offering Covered18 ("Elevate20," "Covered18," "we," "us"), governing your use of covered18.com, Covered18, our waitlist, and any related content (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.

1. Who may use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Services are designed for parents and other adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18.
2. Educational information only. Not legal advice. Not a law firm.
- Covered18 provides educational information and general tools to help families understand paperwork that is often relevant when a young person turns 18 (such as health privacy releases, health care and financial powers of attorney, and school records consents).
- We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions. Nothing in the Services is a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney who knows your situation and your state's law.
- No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the Services, your communication with us, or your receipt of any content.
- Laws, forms and procedures differ by state and change over time. The Services currently address California, Utah, New York, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Georgia. We make no promise that any document, form, or information is valid, enforceable, or acceptable in any state, to any hospital, school, bank or other institution, or for your particular circumstances. Institutions may require their own forms.
- Your young adult decides whether to sign any document; a parent cannot sign for an adult child. Documents can be changed or revoked by the person who signed them, subject to applicable law.
3. Waitlist and previews
Joining the waitlist is free and does not obligate you or us to buy or sell anything. Features may change. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to or a launch date for any product. We will email you according to our Privacy Policy, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Purchases, fees and refunds
Checkout is not open yet. When a paid Covered18 product is offered, the following will apply:
- Price and what's included: shown at checkout for the Covered18 18-and-up Kit (state paperwork kit and year-one reminders for one family, one student). Taxes may apply.
- Payment processing: by a third-party payment processor. We don't store full card numbers.
- Refund policy — 30-day money-back guarantee. If a Covered18 paid product isn't right for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund the Covered18 fee in full to your original payment method. You don't need to give a reason. Refunds are usually issued within 5–10 business days; your bank may take longer to post it. Because our products are delivered digitally, you don't need to return anything, and we may turn off access once refunded. The guarantee covers our fee only; it does not cover notary, witness, copying or other third-party costs.
Nothing in this Section limits any refund or cancellation right you have under applicable law.
5. Your use of the Services
You agree not to: (a) violate any law; (b) provide false information or use someone else's email without permission; (c) copy, scrape, resell or commercially exploit the Services or content except as allowed; (d) probe, overload or interfere with the Services; (e) use them to send spam; (f) upload or send sensitive documents, health information, or identification numbers through the Site or email; (g) misrepresent that Covered18 or any content is legal advice or has been approved by any lawyer, hospital, school or government agency.
6. Our content and your feedback
The Services and their content are owned by Elevate20 or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use. Public laws and government forms that we link or describe remain public. If you send feedback, you let us use it without restriction or compensation to you.
7. Third-party sites and services
The Services may link to third parties (for example, statutes, school or government sites). We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE INFORMATION IS COMPLETE, CURRENT OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY DOCUMENT WILL BE LEGALLY SUFFICIENT OR ACCEPTED BY ANY PERSON OR INSTITUTION, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELEVATE20 LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY HARM ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICES OR FROM A DOCUMENT, FORM, OR DECISION MADE USING THEM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, for fraud or willful misconduct, or as set out in California Civil Code §1668).
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Elevate20 harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Privacy, email and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By joining the waitlist you agree to receive emails about Covered18 that you can opt out of at any time.
12. Changes; termination
We may modify these Terms or the Services. We'll post a new "Last updated" date; continued use after changes means you accept them. For material changes we will notify waitlist members by email when practical. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (including 2, 6, 8–10, 13–14) do.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California, for disputes arising out of these Terms, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the state where you live.

15. General
